| Mal (Malcome) Evans, 40, was shot at with 6 shots of which 4 hit an killed him. He held a unloaded rifle and refused to put it down, which led 2 police officers to shoot him. Evans was the Beatles road manager and go-fer. His body was cremated in Los Angeles, with Harry Nilsson and other friends attending.
